Adina-Leigh is a solicitor in the litigation department, having joined Lawbridge Solicitors, now incorporated into Grant Saw Solicitors LLP, when she qualified in 2015 from a large regional firm. She graduated from Huddersfield University in 2013 with First Class Honours (LL.B) and Commendation in her Masters of Law and Practice degree (LPC). In July 2017, she was also awarded a Distinction for her Masters in Law in Legal Practice (LL.M).
Adina-Leigh is a tenacious, enthusiastic litigator who strives to achieve the best result of her clients. She provides effective, comprehensive advice on not only the important legal principles but also practical advice when considering the litigation cost risks of proposed actions and the clients’ overall objectives. She is both sympathetic to the clients’ needs and pragmatic in order to achieve the desired resolution as swiftly as possible.
Adina-Leigh has a wide range of experience and undertakes a variety of contentious work, acting for both individuals and larger companies alike. She has considerable experience with contentious insolvency matters and regularly acts for insolvency practitioners, directors, and individuals.
She has a particular interest in construction disputes, contentious insolvency disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, property and trust litigation, specifically disputes arising in connection with the co-ownership of properties (both residential and commercial).

Insolvency
- Presenting and defending statutory demands, bankruptcy petitions, winding up petitions, and annulment and rescission applications;
- S216 Insolvency Act 1986 applications – Re-Use of a Prohibited Company Name
- Bringing and defending applications for possession and sale of residential properties for or against a Trustee in Bankruptcy;
- Urgent applications for validation orders (usually required to unfreeze bank accounts);
- Antecedent transactions proceedings brought by a Trustee in Bankruptcy;
- Misfeasance and director’s disqualification proceedings;
- Renegotiating settlement terms following a failed IVA to avoid insolvency;
- Company restoration applications following strike off from Companies House
Construction contracts and general contractual
- All manner of breach of contract claims;
- Wrongful termination and repudiatory breaches;
- Construction contracts and insolvency of other construction parties and principle contractor;
- Construction contracts and disputes pertaining to the invoices raised, services rendered and compliance with relevant regulations of the construction (e.g. building regs); both bringing and defending such claims;
- Construction contract and advising on the suspension of works and ownership of material in the absence of payment/compliance;
- Advising on terms and conditions, in particular cancellation and default clauses;
- Shareholder disputes, with and without shareholders’ agreements in place;
- Advising on and dealing with settlement terms of an Equity Release Mortgage for appointed Attorneys of an LPA
Property Litigation including Landlord and Tenant
- Residential landlord and tenant disputes, including possession proceedings, rent repayment orders and unlicensed HMOs;
- Commercial landlord and tenant disputes regarding breaches of commercial leases, unpaid rent, and forfeiture.
- Party Wall disputes;
- Property disputes, regarding rights of way, rights to light, boundary disputes, and trespass;
- Trust disputes concerning co-ownership of properties, both where express declarations have been made and not, and variations to the same over time;
- Residential building work disputes regarding poor workmanship, delays and excessive costs, including disputes as to variations on site;
Misc.
- Adina-Leigh has also bought complaints to the Financial Conduct Authority following unauthorised, and seemingly fraudulent, company payments to unknown bank accounts; claims against utility companies for irregular service usage and excessive invoicing practices; telecommunications disputes regarding cabling on commercial premises; disputes regarding agency agreements and consultancy agreements; consumer law related disputes including defective goods, poor services, and claims against car companies for breach of warranties and against car financial services;

Outside of work Adina-Leigh’s main hobbies include playing the violin, in which she holds a Grade 8 ABRSM certificate, and riding horses with a particular penchant for jumping and cross country, having recently hung up her boots from playing football for her local ladies’ team who were in the Premier Division of the London & South-East Regional Women’s Football League. She enjoys staying active at the gym, reading, socialising with friends and family and regularly travels back to East Anglia to visit them.
